Steel coil, also known as rolled steel. Steel is formed into coils by hot pressing and cold pressing. In order to facilitate storage and transportation, it is convenient to carry out various processing (such as processing into steel plates, steel strips, etc.). Formed coils are mainly hot rolled coils and cold rolled coils. Hot rolled coil is a processed product before the recrystallization of the billet. Cold rolled coils are the subsequent processing of hot rolled coils. The general weight of the steel coil is about 15-30T.
Cold Rolled Steel Coils: These are made by rolling the steel at room temperature. They have a smoother surface and are used in applications that require precise dimensions and a high quality finish, such as electrical and automotive parts.
Another type of coated product is galvanized steel coils: more corrosion resistant . They are typically used in construction, automotive and packaging applications.
The weight of a coil of steel depends on its size, thickness and type.
For example, a standard hot rolled steel coil with a thickness of 1.6 mm and a width of 1200 mm weighs about 6-7 tons. However, coils 10 mm thick or greater can weigh 25 tons or more.
PPGI and PPGL are different types of coated steel products.
Coating Material: PPGI is coated with a high performance polyester lacquer, while PPGL is coated with a layer of Galvalume or galvanized iron.
Corrosion Resistance: PPGL generally has better corrosion resistance than PPGI due to the presence of a Galvalume or Galvanized Iron coating.
Durability: Both PPGI and PPGL are durable materials that can withstand harsh weather conditions and corrosion. However, PPGL is generally considered more durable due to the presence of Galvanized Iron or Galvanized Iron.
If corrosion resistance and durability are primary considerations, then PPGL may be the better choice. If color choice is more important to you, then PPGI may be a better choice.
