Pre-galvanized steel pipe is a welded steel pipe with a zinc coating of 10-50 g/m2. Pre-galvanizing is accomplished by passing the steel through a molten zinc bath and then removing any excess zinc with a stream of air.
The main difference between pre-galvanized and galvanized steel is the timing of the galvanizing process.
Pre-galvanized steel is galvanized before the steel is formed into its final shape. The steel is coated with a thin layer of zinc that provides some protection against rust and corrosion, but the coating is not as thick or durable as galvanized steel.
Galvanized steel, on the other hand, is steel that has been formed into its final shape and then coated with a thicker layer of zinc.
